As part of COCATRAM‘s activities, the Pro Tempore Presidency and Executive Director made a working visit to the Dominican Republic, with the purpose of promoting the incorporation of the Dominican Republic as a member country of the commission.
As part of the agenda, Vice Admiral Agustín Morillo Rodríguez, Commander General of the Navy of the Dominican Republic, together with Rear Admiral Juan Bienvenido Crisóstomo Martínez, received the Director General of the Maritime Port Division of the MOPT of Costa Rica and delegate of the Pro Tempore Presidency of Cocatram, Verny Jiménez Rojas, accompanied by Otto Noack, Executive Director of the Central American Commission for Maritime Transport (COCATRAM).


They then made a protocol visit to the headquarters of the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESEP), where they were received by the director general of CESEP, Rear Admiral Henry Ant. Guzmán Taveras, ARD.
Among the topics discussed at the important meeting was the participation of CESEP members in international events organized by COCATRAM, focusing on key areas such as training, exchange of best practices and new initiatives in the field of port security and safety.

They then went to the headquarters of the Dominican Port Authority (APORDOM), where they were received by Jean Luis Rodríguez, Executive Director of APORDOM and Melvin de Jesús Pujols, Director of Logistics, where they discussed the incorporation of the Dominican Republic as a member country of COCATRAM.

Finally, COCATRAM delegates attended an activity organized by Nación Logística, who presented an award to the Executive Director of COCATRAM.
