In the framework of the cooperation of the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Executive Director of COCATRAM, Otto Noack, visited the National Port Commission of Guatemala (NPC Guatemala).
The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen cooperation and coordination between both entities in order to define strategic actions to promote the development of ports in the region.
During the visit, priorities for the year 2025 were discussed, focusing on the fulfillment of Guatemala’s Country Vision, which seeks to have competitive and safe ports. These actions are fundamental to facilitate trade and promote regional integration, key aspects for the economic growth of Central American countries.
The Central American Commission for Maritime Transport – COCATRAM, reiterates its commitment to continue working hand in hand with the CPN Guatemala and other regional institutions to improve port infrastructure, ensure its safety and efficiency, and promote a more competitive logistics system that favors trade in the region.
