On Thursday, August 6, COCATRAM held its first virtual coordination meeting with Costa Rican consultant Jorge Cabrera, who is responsible for carrying out the International Maritime Organization (IMO) consultancy as part of the OceanLitter Project, aimed at developing the Regional Policy Analysis.
Representing COCATRAM were Executive Director Otto Noack and ROCRAM-CA Coordinator Eva Calderón.

During the meeting, COCATRAM reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating coordination and fostering closer ties between the consultant and the Maritime Authorities (AAMM) of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama, promoting the exchange of information and strengthening regional coordination as fundamental elements for the success of this consultancy.
This activity is part of the strategic alliance and regional cooperation between the IMO and COCATRAM, aimed at the integrated development of the Integrated Technical Cooperation Program (PICT), within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between both institutions to strengthen the capacities of countries in the region and promote the proper implementation of IMO instruments.
