As part of the lead-up to the CXXIV Regular Meeting of the COCATRAM Board of Directors, scheduled for March 26, the Supervisory Committee held its first working session of the year.

The meeting, held in the Milano Room of the Florencia Plaza Hotel, addressed several topics of institutional relevance, including the review of Minutes No. 76 corresponding to the 123rd Regular Meeting, as well as the accreditation of the Honduran Delegates: Mr. Fernando Joel Vásquez Montoya, Vice Minister of Transport, as Principal Delegate, and Mr. Alejandro Rodríguez Escoto, Director General of the Merchant Marine, as Alternate Delegate.

Regarding budget matters, the Commission reviewed the financial statements for the close of 2025, the status of contributions, the 2024–2025 audit reports, and the use of institutional resources.

The agenda also included a review of the compliance report for the 2025 Annual Operational Plan (POA), along with a request for the active participation of the Oversight Commission in the formulation of the 2027–2029 Strategic Plan.

As the second most important body within COCATRAM, the Supervisory Committee plays a key role in supervising the organization’s work, contributing to strengthened governance and transparency in the development of initiatives carried out in collaboration with Member Countries and related associations.
