On November 19, COCATRAM representatives participated as special guests in the VII General Assembly of the Network of Latin American Women in Maritime Authorities (Red MAMLa), which took place at the DP World Ecuador Terminal.

This event was part of the joint IMO-Red MAMLa activity. COCATRAM collaborated with Red MAMLa in organizing the First Regional Workshop on Gender-Responsive Policies and Legislation and the General Assembly, providing logistical support and coordination.

During the assembly, key advances in strengthening the network were presented, including the mock-up of the new Red MAMLa website by Lissette Moreno, the organization’s webmaster. The new website is aimed at improving the network’s visibility, accessibility, and reach in the region.

Macarena Cladera, the current president, conducted the swearing-in ceremony for the new Executive Committee, which will take office on January 1, 2026. This ceremony reaffirmed the commitment to the continuity and consolidation of the Network.

At the close of the event, COCATRAM Executive Director Otto Noack and ROCRAM-CA Coordinator Eva Calderón received certificates of recognition for their commitment, dedication, and valuable contributions to this significant event.
