In San José, Costa Rica, the Central American Maritime Transport Commission (COCATRAM) held the 125th Regular Meeting of its Board of Directors, with an agenda that included a review of key institutional matters.
The session began with the approval and signing of the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by the presentation of the Oversight Committee’s report, an analysis of the financial report and budget execution as of March 31, 2026, a review of progress on the process related to the 1991 Special Agreement of Ministers of Transportation, as well as other matters of relevance to the organization.


Subsequently, the SIECA General Secretariat was granted the floor to present initiatives of regional interest and to inform the Board of Directors of the invitation to participate in the AAPA LATAM 2026 event, which will take place in December in Guatemala.
At the conclusion of the session, the Board agreed to hold its next regular meeting on August 6 and 7, 2026, in Montelimar, Nicaragua.
