1. LOCATION: At 3.0 n.m. NW of Puerto Limon, at 10° 00.06′ N, 083° 04.66′ W.

2. OVERVIEW: Medium-sized port that handles dry cargo, bulk, containers (mixed pallet/container mode) and petroleum products from the Recope Refinery in Moin. Port well protected from all inclement weather conditions.

3. MAXIMUM SIZE:

Breakbulk:  LOA 210 m., draft 10.6 m.

Bulk:  LOA 200 m., draft 10.5 m.

Ro-Ro:  LOA 200 m., draft 9.5 m.

Tankers:  65,000 d.w.t., LOA 213 m., draft 12.0 m.

Gas:  65,000 d.w.t., LOA 213 m., draft 12.0 m.

4. TRAFFIC: Handles bulk, breakbulk, products, Ro-Ro and petrochemicals.

5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory, available throughout 24 hours. To berth on arrival, vessels should arrive at Puerto Limon before 1500 hrs

6. TUGS:  Three tugs available.

8. YARDS AND AREAS FOR CONTAINERS: Area 4 hectares, with a capacity of 3,850 TEUs, 160 electrical outlets.

9. CRANES: Two quay gantry cranes available at Berth No. 6. One of them out of service. Containers are unloaded with the vessel's own cranes.

10. WASTE DISPOSAL: Service available upon request through the Agent prior to arrival at the port.

11. RECEPTION OF SHIP WASTES: Service available upon request through the Agent prior to arrival at the port.

12. WATER: Service available upon request through the Agent prior to arrival at the port.

13. FUEL: Service available upon request through the Agent prior to arrival at the port.

14. CHANDLERY: Service available upon request through the Agent prior to arrival at the port.
