1. LOCATION: On the SW coast of Martinique.

2. OVERVIEW: Port is situated in a natural sheltered harbor on the northern shore of Fort de France Bay.

3. MAXIMUM SIZE:

Containers:  Draft 13.0 m.

Passengers:  Draft 10.3 m.

Bulk:  LOA 300 m., draft 15.0 m.

Tankers:  LOA 300 m., draft 15.0 m.

4. TRAFFIC: Port handles dry and liquid bulk, containers, passengers, liquefied gas, break bulk and general cargo.

5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory for vessels exceeding LOA 50 m. Pilots board vessels approximately 0.5 n.m. SW of Pointe des Negres Light except for crude tankers, which will be boarded approximately 2.5 n.m. west of Point des Negres Light. Pilot cutters are painted black.

6. TUGS: Available, service is provided by SOMARA. Vessels should provide at least 6 hours' notice of requirement, submitted during office hours (during the preceding day if necessary).

8. CRANES: 3×40 tonne low profile Paceco gantry cranes. Yard space 230,000 sq.m. CFS facilities available. 

9. WASTE DISPOSAL: Collection service available, arrangements made via Agent.

10. SLOPS DISPOSAL:  Collection service available, arrangements made via Agent.

11. WATER: Available from quay in unlimited quantity except during dry season.

12. FUEL: Supplies of MGO can be delivered by road tankers at berths. Fuel oil can be supplied via loading arm at SARA tanker berth, subject to approval from terminal authorities.

13. CHANDLERY: Stores are readily available from local suppliers. Service can also be arranged outside of port limits (subject to approval from Marine Nationale) including crew change, medical assistance and supply of provisions or supplies.
