1. LOCATION: On the west coast of Haiti, 7.7 n.m. north of Port-au-Prince.
2. OVERVIEW: Port spread over two bays Grier and Sea Lots.
3. MAXIMUM SIZE:
Break bulk: Depth 9.2 m.
Containers: Depth 12.0 m.
Passengers: Depth 9.7 m.
Bulk: Depth 9.5 m.
Tankers: Depth 6.6 m.
Gas: Depth 6.6 m.
4. TRAFFIC: Port handles automobiles, break bulk, dry and liquid bulk, containers, reefer, Ro-Ro and cruise vessels.
5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory unless proceeding to CARICOM Jetty.
6. TUGS: The use of tugs is compulsory for berthing and unberthing. Tugs ``Bonito'' and ``Snapper'' are available, both with 2×2,600 h.p. engines. Tugs are operated by the Port Authority.
