1. LOCATION: Port Point Lisas is located in the Gulf of Paria halfway down the west coast of Trinidad, 32 km south of Port of Spain, in position 10°24.2'N, 61°29.6'W. Trinidad lies about 20 km north of Venezuela. Its location between North and South America allows easy convenient connections to all major shipping routes.
2. OVERVIEW: Port Point Lisas is the second major port in Trinidad, with its strategic location, the port is often referred to as the "Gateways to the Americas" catering for containerized cargo from the U.S., Europe, United Kingdom and the Far East. Port Point Lisas is a multipurpose cargo facility comprising Lisas Point Port and Point Lisas Industrial Port. Lisas Point comprises Hydro Agri Terminal (formerly Fedchem) and Tringen II Deepwater Terminal.

Dry Cargo: LOA 170 m., draft 10.80 m., depth 12.80 m.
Containers: Depth 12.80 m.
Bulk: LOA 245 m., draft 11.59 m., depth 12.80 m.
Tankers: LOA 240 m., draft 11.59 m., depth 12.80 m.
Products: LOA 245 m., draft 11.59 m.
Gas: LOA 230 m., draft 11.8 m.
4. TRAFFIC: The port handles a wide range of traffic including dry and liquid bulks, containers, general cargo and break bulk servicing both the individual and business sectors alike. The port also has expertise in handling project cargo, mainly for new plants on the adjacent industrial estate.

6. TUGS:
Point Lisas Industrial Port: Arranged via Agent, 4 hours’ notice required. Plipdeco maintains 2 tugs of 2,400 h.p. each 31 tonnes BP, and 2×500 h.p. each 9 tonnes BP.
Lisas Point Port: Tugs are available from nearby Plipdeco (Point Lisas) or Petrotrin Terminal (Point-a-Pierre), and are ordered by Agent. 4 hours’ notice is required. Petrotrin maintains 3 tugs, 1×4,200 h.p. with 54 tonnes BP and 2×2,400 h.p. with 30 tonnes BP.
