1. LOCATION: On the west bank of the Suriname River, approximately 12 n.m. from the river mouth.
2. OVERVIEW: A river port that serves the capital and largest city in Suriname. Facilities comprise the multipurpose Jules Sedney-Haven Terminal and several privately operated berths.
3. MAXIMUM SIZE:
Break bulk: Depth 7.0 m.
Containers: Depth 7.0 m.
Ro-Ro: Depth 7.0 m.
Bulk: Depth 7.0 m.
Tankers: Depth 6.2 m.
4. TRAFFIC: Handles dry and liquid bulk, containers, reefer, metals, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargo.
5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory for vessels exceeding 50 g.t.
6. TUGS: There are tugs up to 2,000 h.p. stationed at Paramaribo.

8. CRANES: Quayside cranes are available at Jules Sedney Haven berths, otherwise mobile cranes and/or ship's gear are used.
9. WASTE DISPOSAL: The removal of general garbage and galley waste must be authorised by berth operator and can be arranged by Agent.
10. SLOPS DISPOSAL: No facilities.
11. WATER: Available at most berths.
12. FUEL: Fuel is supplied to bunker barges and other vessels through Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname.
