1. LOCATION: On the south coast of the country, 15 n.m. E×S of Santo Domingo.
2. OVERVIEW: Three berths, close to the town, originally built to handle sugar exports, berths now handle containers, lumber, paper, general and bulk cargo. A remote berth, located 2.1 n.m. to the south, separated by Puerto Caucedo Container Terminal, handles LNG carriers for the AES Andres Terminal, but is also equipped to handle other liquid bulk.
3. MAXIMUM SIZE:
LOA 140 m., draft 6.7 m.
LNG Terminal: Gas: 145,000 cu.m., LOA 294 m., draft 11.3 m.
Tankers: 100,000 d.w.t., LOA 304 m., draft 11.3 m.
4. TRAFFIC: Containerized and break bulk cargoes.
5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory, available.
6. TUGS: Compulsory and available in the Santo Domingo area although extra charge is levied to bring tugs to Boca Chica.

8. CONTAINER FACILITIES: Most container operations transferred to purpose built multimodal terminal at Puerto Caucedo, however small numbers of containers are moved through Boca Chica. Vessels are handled at Berths No. 2 and 3 as a power generating barge is moored at Berth No. 1. Container and trailer yard available with forklifts up to 10 tonnes.
9. CRANES: If required, must be brought in from Santo Domingo.
10. WASTE DISPOSAL: Not available.
11. SLOPS DISPOSAL: Not available.
12. WATER: Pipeline alongside has very low pressure. Potable water can also be supplied by road tanker.
13. FUEL: Fuel and diesel oil are available by road tanker from Santo Domingo. Arrangements to be made in advance through the Agent.
14. CHANDLERY: Not available.
