1. LOCATION: On the SW coast of Curacao.

2. OVERVIEW: Port consists of various cruise terminals, a drydock, oil refinery, container terminal and cargo wharves and features an economic zone area.

3. MAXIMUM SIZE:

LOA 259 m., beam 42.6 m., draft 12.8 m. Vessels up to 13.7 m. can be accepted after prior consultation with the port authorities.

Containers:  Depth 12.2 m.

Passengers:  Depth 24.0 m.

Ro-Ro:  Depth 12.2 m.

Bulk:  Depth 10.21 m.

Tankers:  LOA 259 m., draft 12.8 m.

4. TRAFFIC: Container terminal handles containers and Ro-Ro.

5. PILOTAGE: Compulsory for vessels over 50 g.t. Available throughout 24 hours.

6. TUGS: Available. Compulsory for all tankers exceeding 3,000 g.t. and larger ships. Tankers exceeding LOA 213.4 m. and all tankers which are not gas-free must make one tug fast forward before entering the port. For other vessels tug assistance is generally not necessary unless specified by Harbour Master, or in abnormal circumstances.

Additionally there are about 20 small harbour tugs available, varying from 60–300 h.p. and about 80 lighters used for cargo transfer, varying from 60–250 tonnes capacity. www.ktktugs.com/

8. CRANES: 2×40 tonne Nelcon gantry cranes and 1×40 tonne Nelcon mobile crane.

9. WASTE DISPOSAL: Available.

10. SLOPS DISPOSAL:  Emmastad Refinery (Berth No. 10) can receive pumpable waste oil (not containing chemicals) to shore tanks. Agent can arrange for slops disposal by barge, capacity 60 cu.m.

11. WATER: Available throughout 24 hours and arranged via Agent, delivered alongside by means of barge, up to a maximum rate of 50–100 cu.m./hr. Fresh water can also be delivered via pipeline at Motetwerf, Nieuwewerf and Prins Hendrikwerf.

12. FUEL: Available at Emmastad Refinery for all vessels. Bunkering facilities also available at Motetwerf, via 6 in. or 12 in. pipeline, rate of 600 tonnes/hr for fuel oil and 500 tonnes/hr for diesel oil. Facilities for bunkers also at Matheywerf, Oranjewerf, Prins Hendikwerf, Westwerf II.
